Download Race Cast
- •Go to the Downloads page.
- •Click "Download Setup" to get the installer.
- •The installer is about ~XX MB.
- •Run the installer and follow the prompts.
- •Race Cast will install and create a desktop shortcut.

Launch & First Run
- •Open Race Cast from your desktop shortcut or Start menu.
- •On first launch, sign in with your EWSimRacing account.
- •Race Cast will automatically download the voice pack (~XX MB, one-time).
- •Future updates are delivered as small delta patches — no full re-downloads.

Start Your Simulator
- •Launch your supported sim and load into a race session (practice, qualifying, or race).
- •Race Cast auto-detects which sim is running — no manual configuration needed.
- •Make sure your sim is running BEFORE you expect commentary to start.

Listen for Your First Call
- •Once Race Cast connects, you'll see a status indicator in the app.
- •Commentary begins as race events happen — lead changes, battles, overtakes.
- •The three-voice booth (Marvin, Marley, and Reese) will narrate the action live.
- •Your first session is underway!

- •Race Cast logs a full session recap.
- •Review the commentary log and decision trail.
- •You've used 1 of your 5 free sessions.

Troubleshooting Quick Reference
A few fast checks for the most common first-run issues.
Race Cast doesn't detect my sim+
Make sure the sim is running and in an active session. Restart Race Cast if needed.
No commentary is playing+
Check that your system audio output is correct. Make sure the voice pack finished downloading.
Voice pack download stuck+
Check your internet connection. Restart Race Cast to resume the download.
I can't download the installer+
Make sure your email is verified. Go to your Account page to resend verification.
Open Account →Commentary seems delayed+
Race Cast generates commentary based on live events. Some calls wait for context to build — this is by design.
My sim isn't listed+
Check the compatibility matrix. If your sim isn't supported yet, it may be planned for a future release.

How do I start using Race Cast?+

Which simulators work right away?+
Race Cast currently supports Project Motor Racing (PMR), iRacing, Automobilista 2 (AMS2), Le Mans Ultimate (LMU), Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC), RaceRoom Racing Experience (R3E), and rFactor 2 (rF2). Check the compatibility page for each sim's connection method and setup requirements.
Does Race Cast need an internet connection?+
Race Cast needs internet for the initial download, account sign-in, and updates. Local voice commentary can run without an internet connection once the app and voice pack are installed.
How do voice pack updates work?+
Race Cast checks for voice pack updates on launch and downloads only the new audio needed, so you do not have to re-download the full pack each time.
